It is with great sorrow that the Conference of Major Superiors of Men mourns the passing of our Holy Father, Pope Francis. His life was a profound witness to the Gospel, marked by humility, compassion, and a deep commitment to the marginalized. Pope Francis was our first Jesuit pope; his Ignatian spirituality was evident in his leadership of the Church. As male religious, we give thanks to our brother for his leadership, spirituality, and his ever-present call to missionary discipleship. May the Holy Father rest in the peace of Christ.
