CMSM Pre-Assembly 2026
Hyatt Regency Phoenix | July 20, 2026

Adult misconduct has emerged as the most pressing safeguarding challenge facing men’s religious communities today. This day-long Pre-Assembly offers an opportunity to engage with best practices for preventing adult misconduct, safeguarding vulnerable persons, and responding effectively when adult misconduct occurs.

The day will include facilitated dialogue with fellow leaders in male religious life, breakout sessions focused on key dimensions of adult misconduct, and presentation and discussion of CMSM’s new adult misconduct resource. This resource is designed to support major superiors with practical, wide-ranging suggestions for addressing adult misconduct with clarity, care, and accountability.
