CMSM Post-Assembly 2026
Hyatt Regency Phoenix | July 23, 2026

Review boards have long been a central component of safeguarding efforts to protect children. Recent challenges, identified by both CMSM member communities and Praesidium, have made the smooth functioning of review boards more difficult than in the past. These challenges include effectively engaging review boards when there are few cases, sustaining committed membership, and ensuring ongoing formation and education for board members.

This Post-Assembly session will examine a range of approaches major superiors have adopted to address these challenges and will engage participants in discussion of current best practices for review boards in light of the realities major superiors face today.
