  • National Religious Vocation Conference

April 21 is World Day of Prayer for Vocations. Initiated by Saint Paul VI during the Second Vatican Council in 1964, the purpose of this day is to support in prayer all who are discerning how to best respond to God’s call to holiness. For more information and to access resources to commemorate this global day,  including the Papal message for 2024, visit the NRVC website.

Our annual Summer Institute will offer five onsite workshops at the Marillac Center, in Leavenworth, KS, July 9-30, 2024. Choose to attend one or several workshops, it’s your choice. All workshops include overnight accommodation at the Marillac Center.

  • National Religious Retirement Office

The National Religious Retirement Office (NRRO) and the Avila Institute of Gerontology will offer a free webinar titled Myths and Realities of End-of-Life Care: Supporting the Dying in their Final Days. This webinar will take place on Tuesday, May 7, at 1:00 p.m. (ET). Susan I. Belanger, Ph.D., MA, RN, NEA-BC, an experienced nurse and ethics educator, will lead this session to explore trends and options in end-of-life care with consideration of how they align with Catholic teachings.  She will discuss advanced care planning, life-preserving measures, artificial life support, palliative care, and expressing end-of-life wishes.

  • Saint John Vianney Center

Saint John Vianney Center hosts monthly Support and Resource Meetings via Zoom for Men Religious Leadership. SJVC staff begin the meeting by discussing a particular topic and then open it up for discussion and sharing. The focus of the next meeting is Boundary Difficulties on April 18, 2024, at 4pm EST. All those in a leadership position are welcome. Come with questions or curiosity, or to gather information and resources for a healthy lifestyle for your men and community.

  • United States Catholic Mission Association

The United States Catholic Mission Association (USCMA) is happy to announce its national Conference – The Mission of the Eucharist – Gather. Unite. Send. in Saint Louis, MO at the Pallottine Retreat Center October 29-31, 2024. Robert Elsberg, Publisher for Orbis Press, is the opening keynote on Dorothy Day’s deep connection between the Eucharist and Mission. Diane Huggins, President of the Parish Twinning Programs of the Americas, will reflect on her experience of adoration and her call to mission. Fr.
